Entrepreneur of the Year Honors

HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, June 26, 2002 – Jamal Hamdani, CarrierComm’s President & CEO, was honored today with the coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the field of Technology.

The Entrepreneur Of The Year awards program was founded by professional services firm Ernst & Young LLP in 1986 to honor outstanding entrepreneurs whose ingenuity and perseverance have created and sustained successful growing business ventures. This award, which recognizes and honors the achievements of successful entrepreneurs around the world, is the most prominent of its type on a national and international scale.
The E&Y program was established to honor business people who are successful entrepreneurs themselves; and to highlight the benefits they bring to the community. The National and World Entrepreneur of the year award will be announced in November 2002. Previous winners of this award include CEOs of Broadcom, PowerWave and EBAY.

Mr. Hamdani, in his acceptance speech, indicated he was honored to accept the award on behalf of the 300 employees he works for and the thousands of customers his companies are privileged to serve.
